HUMAN LAB

Advanced training programs in soft skills and managerial skills

The Merchant Marine Academy, drawing on its in-depth knowledge of the blue economy, is launching new training programs for companies, designed to develop soft skills directly linked to the sector’s real-world challenges.

Let’s start with what we know best: the dynamics, complexities, and concrete challenges faced by maritime, port, and industrial organizations. Digital transformation, organizational change, new technologies, increasingly complex professional relationships, heavy workloads, and the need to reduce decision-making complexity—these are the areas where we take targeted and effective action.

The program is designed to develop the strategic, interpersonal, and organizational skills essential for addressing the challenges faced by contemporary organizations. In line with the Academy’s educational model, the program integrates theory and practice, with an approach focused on the practical application of skills in professional settings.

Who is it for?

The Human Lab program is modular and tailored to:

  • professionals and technicians who work in complex organizational settings
  • company staff and employees
  • individuals advancing toward roles involving coordination and responsibility
  • future managers and team leaders

Learning Objectives and Methodology

The program aims to develop operational capabilities in areas that are key to the functioning of organizations:

  • Management of Complex Problems and Decision-Making Processes
  • Effective and Strategic Communication
  • Relationship and Conflict Management
  • Leadership and Team Coordination
  • Organizational Change Management

In line with the FAIMM approach, teaching is strongly focused on practice and experience: simulations and real-world cases, hands-on exercises, role-playing, and group activities, as well as the immediate application of skills.

The goal is to train professionals who can work effectively, independently, and responsibly, thereby improving both individual and team performance.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • manage complex problems using a structured approach
  • communicate effectively and persuasively
  • conduct negotiations and manage conflicts
  • lead teams and organizational processes
  • make informed decisions
  • operate in dynamic and technologically advanced environments
