The course aims at providing participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties, with the goal of improving the efficiency of the accommodation facilities on board ferry ships.
The Office Assistant works on board; he or she is a staff member and provides support to the Ship's Commissioner.
The Onboard Office Assistant acts on behalf of the Commissioner in dealing with customers and handling administrative tasks; assists the Commissioner in preparing the cash report; checks cabin availability to accommodate requests for changes or to assign cabins to last-minute passengers; and monitors the attendance of the onboard staff. This role also involves providing customer service and resolving logistical issues.
At the end of the course, students will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
