SHORT COURSE – FRONT OFFICE SPECIALIST

The Objectives

Hire, under a fixed-term contract of at least 6 months and in accordance with the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (C.C.N.L.) for seafarers on cruise ships, as provided by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), at least 60% of the trainees who successfully complete the training program, obtain the required certificate of attendance, and are deemed qualified to perform the assigned role.

Intended Audience

The course is open to 20 unemployed individuals and those not currently in the workforce who are residents and/or domiciled in Liguria, including both EU and non-EU citizens holding a valid residence permit, who have completed a five-year high school diploma, and who have a good command of English and a second language of their choice among German, French, and Spanish.

Duration

The course has a total duration of 380 hours, including 356 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of internship/on-the-job training

A five-year high school diploma, with a good command of English and a second language chosen from German, French, or Spanish.

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to receivea Certificate of Course Completion.

THE PROFESSIONAL ROLE

FRONT OFFICE SPECIALIST

This role involves working on board the cruise ship to interact with guests during the welcome process, as well as resolving problems, critical issues, and requests; it is a key position in ensuring guests have a positive experience on board and encouraging them to return for future cruises. This role requires excellent language skills, enabling the individual to communicate with guests of various nationalities on board, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. The individual uses computer tools and handles certain financial and cash transactions.
